Product Name: AIRE Antibody
Species Reactivity: Human
Tested Applications: ELISA, WB
Applications: AIRE antibody can be used for detection of AIRE by ELISA at 1:312500. AIRE antibody can be used for detection of AIRE by western blot at 2.0 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 – 100,000.
User Note: Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher.
Predicted Molecular Weight: 58 kDa
Immunogen: Antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding a region of human AIRE.
Host Species: Rabbit
Purification: Antibody is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.
Physical State: Lyophilized
CAS NO.: 212391-58-7
Product: PP58
Buffer: Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Storage Conditions: For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚C. For longer periods of storage, store AIRE antibody at -20˚C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Alternate Names: AIRE, APS1, APSI, PGA1, AIRE1, APECED
Accession NO.: NP_000374
Protein Ino: 4557291
Official Symbol: AIRE
Geneid: 326
Background: The function of the protein encoded by the AIRE gene is not well defined. However it contains zinc finger motifs suggestive of a transcription factor. The protein (isoform 1) is localized to both the nucleus and cytoplasm. Defects in this gene cause the autosomal-recessive systemic autoimmune disease termed autoimmune polyendocrinopathy-candidiasis-ectodermal dystrophy (APECED).
