Background :
TGF-β2 is produced by eosinophils, astrocytes, glioblastoma and other cancer derived cell types. TGF-β2 inhibits antigen-induced T-cell proliferation, inhibits epithelial cell proliferation, induces mesenchymal cell proliferation and has cell specific effects on apoptosis. TGF-β2 binds to TβRII and binding is promoted by TβRIII. TβRI then complexes with TβRII and TβRIII. Signaling involves phosphorylation of the SMAD proteins. TGF-β2 also activates Erk2, p38, and JNK pathways. Knockout of TGF-β2 in mice severely impacts heart, lung and eye development. Cellular location Secreted

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
