Background :
PKC-delta(Protein kinase C delta type) is an enzyme that is encoded by the PRKCD gene in human. PKC is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by the second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. Each member of the PKC family has a specific expression profile and is believed to play distinct roles in cells. PKC-delta is one of the PKC family members. Studies both in human and mice demonstrate that PKC-delta is involved in B cell signaling and in the regulation of growth, apoptosis, and differentiation of a variety of cell types. PKC-delta is also regulated by phosphorylation on various serine/threonine and tyrosine residues including Y311. Cellular location Cytoplasm, Membrane, Nucleus

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
