Background :
Tau is a neuronal microtubule-associated protein, which is mainly located in the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton and cell membrane. Tau is expressed in neuronal tissues and exists in the form of a variety of alternate splicing subtypes. Its C-terminus is combined with axon microtubules, and the N-terminus is combined with neuroplasmic membrane components to maintain the stability and plasticity of the neuronal cytoskeleton. In neurons, hyperphosphorylated and abnormally glycosylated Tau protein accumulates, causing neurofibrosis and neurodegeneration, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), frontotemporal dementia, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), Parkinson’s disease after encephalitis, etc. Cellular location Cytoplasm, Cytosol, Plasma membrane, Cytoskeleton

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
